FAQ

Questions we hear on site.

Rates, deliveries, quantities and the estimator. If your question isn't here, ask us.

How accurate is the cost estimate?

It is a planning figure, usually within about 10% of the final cost for a standard RCC-frame house. It uses thumb rules per sq ft and today's rates. Your structural drawings, soil conditions and the finishes you choose decide the exact number.

Do your rates include GST and delivery?

Yes. The rates on this site include GST and delivery within about 10 km of our yard in Panchkula. For Zirakpur, Mohali and sites further out, we add the transport cost to the quote before you confirm.

Is there a minimum order?

For free delivery: 50 bags of cement, one trolley (about 100 cft) of sand or grit, 3,000 bricks or 500 kg of steel. Smaller orders are welcome with a small transport charge, or you can collect from the yard.

How do you measure sand and grit?

In cubic feet (cft), the unit most Tricity sites use. We measure the trolley's length, width and filled height in front of you. If you prefer, we can supply by weight from a weighbridge slip; one tonne of sand is roughly 22 to 24 cft.

Which cement should I use for the slab and which for plaster?

OPC 53 for RCC work: footings, columns, beams and the roof slab. PPC for brickwork mortar, plaster and flooring, where its slower setting reduces cracks. Many sites buy both, and the estimator splits the cement the same way.

Red bricks, fly-ash bricks or AAC blocks?

Red clay bricks are the familiar choice for single and double-storey homes. Fly-ash bricks are more uniform and slightly cheaper. AAC blocks are much lighter and quicker to lay, which helps on builder floors, but they need a thin-bed adhesive instead of ordinary mortar.

How much steel does a house need?

Around 3.5 to 4.5 kg per sq ft of built-up area for an RCC-frame home, so roughly 4 tonnes for 1,000 sq ft. Panchkula is in seismic zone IV, so use Fe 500D and follow your engineer's bar-bending schedule.

How quickly can you deliver?

Cement, sand and grit ordered before noon usually arrive the same day within Panchkula. Steel and AAC blocks may take a day or two depending on size and brand. We confirm a slot when you order.

Can I return unused cement bags?

Sealed, dry bags in good condition can be returned within 7 days of delivery for credit against your next order. Loose sand and grit cannot be returned once unloaded.

How do I pay?

UPI, bank transfer or cash on delivery. Every order comes with a GST invoice. Contractors and builders with regular orders can ask about a credit account.

Why do I need an account?

You don't need one to see rates or use the estimator. An account lets you save estimates and come back to them. You can protect it with two-factor authentication from any authenticator app.
